The Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our team as a Procurement Officer. This role requires an analytical mind and the ability to stay up-to-date with product and service trends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory and maintain required stock levels
• Maintain and update supplier information such as product range, open purchase orders, and delivery times
• Generate reports using MRP & MS Excel
• Generate purchase orders using the MRP
• Follow up with suppliers for orders and payments
• Keep costs up to date in the MRP
• Respond to stock-related inquiries from other departments
• Record, tally, maintain and process invoices
• Manage company’s accounts payable and receivable
• Pay bills and invoices
• Track, maintain, and record expenses
• Sort and track overdue payments
• Maintain office culture
• Maintain good supplier relations and negotiate contracts
• Research and evaluate prospective suppliers
• Prepare budgets, analyze costs, and develop reports
• Handle additional responsibilities within and outside the department

Requirements:

• Minimum 16 years of education
• Degree in accounting, business management, or a similar field preferred
• 1 year of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Good analytical and strategic thinking skills
• Attention to detail
