Job Description

The Business Development Manager for our RICE Business will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow our rice business, including identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and enhancing our market position. This role requires a deep understanding of the rice market, strong sales and negotiation skills, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and target new business opportunities in the local rice industry, including potential clients, distributors, and partners.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders, including rice producers, suppliers, distributors, and end-users.
• Provide market insights and feedback to shape product offerings and strategies.
• Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s rice products.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on business development activities and outcomes.
• Address client inquiries, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Candidate should be well versed in different RICE varieties from Non-Basmati (IRRI 6, C9) / Basmati (1121, 386) and all milling processes (sella / steam)
• Minimum Bachelors
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Rice industry preferably in the Purchase department
• Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events
