Job Description
The Small Market Sales Manager is responsible for leading and driving sales efforts in small to mid-size market segments. This role involves strategic planning, managing customer relationships, achieving sales targets, and leading a team of sales professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base in small markets.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
- Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and markets.
- Lead a team of sales professionals; hiring, setting objectives, coaching, and performance monitoring.
- Analyze market trends and results to determine annual unit and gross-profit plans.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Qualifications:
- Proven sales experience, meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
- Strong business sense and industry expertise.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or relevant field.
- Experience in small market sales, preferably in a managerial role.
