Job Description
- Set up and operate manual and automatic screen printing presses according to job specifications and customer requirements.
- Prepare screens by coating with emulsion, exposing artwork, and creating stencils.
- Mix and prepare ink colors, adjust viscosity, and perform color matching.
- Load substrates, position screens, and adjust settings for proper ink coverage and registration.
- Inspect printed samples for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments.
- Monitor print quality throughout production, troubleshooting any defects.
- Perform test prints and color checks to ensure color accuracy and print clarity.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in screen printing preferred.
- Proven experience as a screen printer in a commercial printing or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in both manual and automatic screen printing techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve printing issues.
