Job Description
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Accountant I at Human Resource Solutions International (HRSI). As a senior accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial compliance and managing various financial aspects for our organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelors in finance, Accountancy and Business or Professional Accountancy Qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- 5-6 years of field experience in financial reporting.
- This role involves meticulous attention to detail, extensive knowledge of VAT regulations, and the ability to manage various financial aspects while ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Location: Karachi, Pakistan
Key Responsibilities:
- VAT Compliance: Ensuring adherence to VAT regulations by overseeing EMS claims verification and approval, IC overdue follow-up, and reconciliation of AR receipts with bank records.
- Invoice Management: Responsible for invoice booking, including GRN invoice booking, handling non-GRN/PO AP invoices, and preparing payment proposals.
- Financial Reporting: Preparation of bank reconciliation statements, working on Insurance JV, Air ticket Amortization, prepaid amortization JV upload, accrual bookings, and accrued stock reconciliation/payable clearing reconciliation.
- Cost Allocation and Analysis: Capturing and allocating common costs, working on AP, AR -SL GL Recon, updating FX rates and revaluation, IC Markup working, managing FX exposure bookings, and HFM working.
- Financial Processes: Handling of AP Advance reclass, BS Schedules, analyzing and responding to queries related to Delivery/freight cost by SCF, overseeing External Audit processes, and managing Insurance Invoice/Credit booking.
- VAT Working and Compliance: Preparing Quarterly VAT reports and collaborating with KPMG for review and compliance checks. Additionally, handling GRP uploads, as well as providing comments on DPO variance.
