Job Description
- Provide legal advice on a broad range of matters and conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Prepare for and support management at Board meetings, including drafting agendas, preparing minutes, and organizing legal documentation to ensure compliance with governance standards.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive corporate records and assist in implementing corporate governance policies and procedures.
- Assist in providing legal support for mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures, ensuring thorough legal due diligence and alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Support the legal structuring of transactions, including the development of special purpose vehicles, share purchase agreements, and restructuring of entities.
- Collaborate with finance and tax teams to evaluate the legal and financial implications of transactions, ensuring all legal risks are identified and mitigated.
Qualifications:
LLB or equivalent education from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of 8 years of legal experience with a focus on power sector, corporate governance, and company secretarial duties.
