Company Description
Beaconhouse Newlands Islamabad is seeking a full-time IBDP/ MYP Senior Librarian for on-site work in Islamabad. The Senior Librarian will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks associated with the Library, including but not limited to cataloging, collection development and management, reference and research help, supervising circulation, and ensuring the efficient maintenance of all library products, resources, and services. The Senior Librarian will also create and implement library policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices as well as assisting students with research for their essays.
Role Description
Qualifications:
- Expertise in Library Services, Library Science, and Metadata
- Experience in Library Management, including cataloging, collection development and management, reference and research help, and supervising circulation
- Strong ability for Library Instruction, including assessing user needs and creating research guides, finding aids, and other instructional materials
- Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent degree is required
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study is required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Experience in web design and development, social media, and/or graphic design is an added advantage
