Job Description
Role Description
The Senior System Network Administrator plays a crucial role in overseeing and maintaining the IT infrastructure of Chase Up, a retail chain comprising 16 stores. This position involves leading a team of administrators, ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of servers and systems. The successful candidate will collaborate with other IT professionals, manage server environments, and provide technical leadership to support the organization’s retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of server environments across all stores.
- Manage server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms.
- Work closely with network administrators to ensure seamless integration between server and network infrastructure.
- Collaborate on network design, troubleshooting, and security measures.
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect servers and sensitive data.
- Develop and maintain robust backup and recovery procedures for critical systems.
- Conduct regular testing of backup systems to ensure data integrity.
- Monitor server performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for enhanced efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Strong skills and experience in System Administration, Troubleshooting, Technical Support, and Network Administration.
- Expertise in Information Technology, including software, hardware, and networking.
- Problem-solving skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Professional certifications such as MCSA or MCSE are a plus.
