Progressive Education Network (PEN) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005. Its aim is to deliver quality education to underprivileged children all over Pakistan. PEN is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan as a non-profit company under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984. PEN is certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy and under ISO 9001:2008 for implementation of a Quality Management System. Currently, PEN is operating 264 public schools nationwide where 64,00 students are enrolled in 15 districts of Pakistan.
Role Description
This full-time on-site role is located in Lahore District at Progressive Education Network. The Subject Specialist in English is responsible for teaching English language, literature, and writing to students of all ages while keeping up with the latest teaching methodologies and ensuring a safe and inclusive educational environment.
Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree or higher in Education, English Language Literature, or related disciplines.
- Good knowledge of English grammar, literature, and writing skills.
- Experience in teaching English as a language and English Literature.
- A passion for teaching and promoting an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to different learning levels and incorporate innovative teaching techniques.
- Knowledge of classroom management and differentiated instruction strategies.
- Must be able to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate.
- Experience in teaching ESL or working with diverse student populations is highly desired.
- Bilingual ability or previous work in an international setting is a plus.
