Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technical Support Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our IT infrastructure.

As a Technical Support Executive, you will be responsible for managing hardware inventory, overseeing networking activities, and maintaining computer systems to ensure optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Hardware Inventory Management:
  • Track, monitor, and manage hardware inventory, including but not limited to computers, servers, peripherals, and networking equipment.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of the hardware inventory database.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for timely hardware acquisitions and replacements.
  1. Networking:
  • Configure and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve networking issues to ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and optimize network security protocols.
  1. Basic Computer Hardware:
  • Provide support for basic computer hardware-related issues and incidents.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer components and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related problems.
  1. System Maintenance:
  • Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system optimizations.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to ensure high availability.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain backup and recovery procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in technical support and IT administration.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware components, networking principles, and basic computer hardware.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must be available for the evening shift.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
