Job Description

REGULAR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze laboratory findings.
  • Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF.
  • Check the accuracy of results.
  • Calibrate and operate all instruments in the Bio-chemistry Lab.
  • Run quality controls daily, review Lj plot, run EQA, and interpret.
  • Inform abnormal results to related Dr/consultant.
  • Properly store abnormal result samples.
  • Follow infection control and ISO instructions.
  • Instruct and train juniors and trainees.
  • Issue reports.
  • Reject tests if necessary.
  • Reject samples based on SOP criteria.
  • Repeat tests if needed.
  • Manage daily inventory consumption.

PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain stock of kits, consumables, etc.
  • Maintain data records.
  • Monthly analyzer maintenance per procedures.
  • Keep a weekly maintenance log.
  • Contact supplier’s Biomedical Department and Engineers for analyzer issues.
  • Generate weekly/monthly indents.
