Job Description
REGULAR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze laboratory findings.
- Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids including blood, urine, and CSF.
- Check the accuracy of results.
- Calibrate and operate all instruments in the Bio-chemistry Lab.
- Run quality controls daily, review Lj plot, run EQA, and interpret.
- Inform abnormal results to related Dr/consultant.
- Properly store abnormal result samples.
- Follow infection control and ISO instructions.
- Instruct and train juniors and trainees.
- Issue reports.
- Reject tests if necessary.
- Reject samples based on SOP criteria.
- Repeat tests if needed.
- Manage daily inventory consumption.
PERIODIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain stock of kits, consumables, etc.
- Maintain data records.
- Monthly analyzer maintenance per procedures.
- Keep a weekly maintenance log.
- Contact supplier’s Biomedical Department and Engineers for analyzer issues.
- Generate weekly/monthly indents.
