Job Overview:

As a Junior Transport Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the efficient and seamless operation of our transportation department. Working closely with senior supervisors and team members, you will be responsible for coordinating transportation activities, optimizing routes, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills in logistics and transportation management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
• Monitor the progress of shipments and address any issues or delays promptly.
• Enter data and generate reports on transportation metrics, including on-time delivery performance and transportation costs.
• Ensure all transportation-related documentation is accurate, complete, and in compliance with relevant regulations.
• Identify and address transportation-related issues in real-time, implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot challenges and improve overall transportation processes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including warehouse, procurement, and customer service, to streamline processes and enhance overall logistics efficiency.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of transportation operations.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving workflow, technology utilization, and overall logistics performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and route optimization software is a plus.
