Job Description
Encoder Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently encode all data that needs organizing and recording.
- Confirm that entered data accurately aligns with original documentation.
- Organize and maintain original paper evidence.
- Assure files are properly prepared and saved to backup drives.
- Transcribe, scan, or photocopy hard copy documents and forms as needed.
- Encoding of client’s internal and external documents for airing in multiple platforms.
- Ensure completeness of encoded data by generating reports based on deadlines.
- Ensure accuracy of data by identifying discrepancies in raw vs encoded data.
- Preparing and sorting data for computer entry.
- Reviewing data to make sure it’s accurate before entering it into the system.
- Entering data from paper to a computer data entry system.
- Maintaining the data system and ensuring all information is correctly recorded.
- Completing data backups.
- Checking your work for errors or duplicate entries.
- Reporting errors to management.
- Familiarity with Quickbooks is an advantage.
