Job Description
· Designs, configures, and installs hardware, software, and telecommunications systems and equipment.
· Evaluates emerging technologies and systems to enhance technology services or replace failing resources.
· Setups and maintains security protocols and disaster recovery systems to mitigate breaches to the integrity of data resources within organizations.
· Communicates standards to staff and trains employees regarding safe practices for the use of data and systems.
· Responds to requests for enhanced technology resources by departments, prioritizes needs, and manages projects to modify systems.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience working in IT operations
- Excellent working knowledge of operating systems, computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent project management skills and a strong ability to prioritize
- Knowledgeable in conducting Agile methodologies (e.g.: Scrum)
- Proficient in using project management tools such as Basecamp, JIRA, Trello, Zoho, and Asana
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
- Knowledgeable in electrical power supply and distribution systems, copper and fiber optic network cabling technologies, networking equipment installation, and configuration, as well as server room/data center technologies
