Job Description
A Procurement and Inventory Management Officer is responsible for overseeing the purchasing activities and inventory control within a company. They play a crucial role in ensuring the availability of materials and supplies needed for day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- Sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining supplier relationships
- Reviewing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and managing inventory replenishment
- Collaborating with internal departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a good understanding of supply chain management principles. Proficiency in using procurement software systems is preferred.
