Job Description
Performance of all tasks assigned by seniors with proper maintenance of analyzers & stock in microbiology lab, and effectively following the rules as per Infection Control Department and The Indus Hospital Policy.
Regular Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparation of all kind of media/reagents/stains
- Analyze laboratory findings
- Conduct parasitological and serological analysis of urine and blood
- Check the accuracy of results
- Processing of all Routine Microbiological Samples
- Calibrate and operate all instruments in the microbiology Lab
- Inform all abnormal results to related Dr/consultant
- Retention of all types of samples according to SOPs
- Issuance of reports
- Rejection of tests if required
- Instruct and train juniors and trainees
- Daily consumption of inventory
Periodic Duties/Responsibilities (Monthly Quarterly, Biannually, Annual):
- Maintenance of stock of kits, consumables etc
- Maintenance and Analysis of Data
- Monthly maintenance of analyzers according to Maintenance Procedures
- Weekly maintenance log
- If any error/problem occurs in any analyzer, communication with supplier’s Biomedical Department and Engineers
