Job Description
Indus Hospital & Health Network, Korangi Campus, Karachi, is looking for a Senior Officer for Medical Coding in their EMR department. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Physiology and 3-4 years of relevant experience.
- Code inpatient, outpatient, and daycare discharges based on coding classifications and TIH guidelines.
- Assist in generating standard reports from coded/abstract data under Coding Assistant Manager supervision.
- Participate in clinical audit meetings to enhance coding accuracy and rectify abstract discrepancies.
- Update histopathology-coded charts daily.
- Provide monthly updates on daycare and inpatient discharge reports.
- Create monthly discharge reports by specialty.
- Track and code all uncoded medical record folders promptly.
- Address and code backlog discharges efficiently.
- Undertake any additional tasks delegated by the Head or Assistant Manager of Coding.
