Job Description
Responsible to perform all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician. Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required. Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care. Addresses patient care problems and makes necessary decisions. Organizes daily work schedule and performs related clerical duties. Assumes responsibility for patient safety and well-being in the sonographic area. Reports equipment failures. Uses independent judgment to differentiate between normal and pathological findings. Analyses sonograms, synthesizes information, and communicates findings to physicians. Coordinates work schedule and ensures patient comfort. Performs assigned tasks by the Supervisor/Head of the Department.
