Job Description
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chief Engineer at Thar Coal Block-1 Power Generation Company (PVT) Ltd. The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the power generation plant. They will coordinate with the engineering team, develop and implement maintenance plans, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and optimize plant performance. The Chief Engineer will also be involved in planning and executing maintenance shutdowns and managing the budget for engineering activities. This role is based in Tharparkar, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in power plant operations and maintenance
- Experience in managing and leading a team of engineers and technicians
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management and budgeting
- Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional certifications in engineering or related fields are a plus
